English: "Clemency" with Leonard Peltier (Wind Chases the Sun), Chippewa / Lakota photographed for the first time in the historic wet plate collodion process of silver on black glass for the series "Northern Plains Native Americans: A Modern Wet Plate Perspective".

Deb Haaland, former Secretary of the Interior, personally requested that these portraits be taken for history. Holly Cook Macarro was instrumental making this happen behind the scenes. I am forever in debt for their trust and kindness. Chad Nodland my official digital photographer was on hand to assist me and also captured behind the scenes photos of our time together.

This original plate is permanently curated by the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
